About Us

The Bay City String Quartet is a group based in Hamilton. They are all leading members of the Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. The string quartet is unconventional in instrumentation, as they play without a viola, substituting it with a second cello. The Bay City String Quartet are quickly becoming active members of the Hamilton music scene, playing at the Hamilton Youth Poets’ 2015 fundraiser, participating in the 2015 Juno Awards Turn It On Hamilton, and playing for other local fundraisers and events in the area.
